Obstetric Fistula is one of the most devastating injuries that girl child expectant mothers can suffer. This article features lived realities of girls and women who have suffered this injury.

While the campaign to end girl child marriages intensifies those women who have suffered this injury as girls are not forgotten. Women and Health Alliance Initernational in partnership with UNFPA and the Ministry of Health and child Welfare are conducting reconstructive surgeries in Zimbabwe and in 2015 over 200 women received free surgery in Harare (Harare Hospital) and Chinhoyi (Chinhoyi Provincial Hospital).
